Online image is an SEO company that had large ambitions to build their own software and hopefully profit from that decision.
My Role
As the director of experience, it was my job to come up with a strategy that fulfills the need of users, which were mostly internal at the time. This was a project that has been in the works for multiple years and I came on to take over the experience of the project.
This was a rush project, being that it was in production for so long. I wasn't able to gather data being there was none of the prior version. I did, however, have the opportunity to speak to each type of user for the CRM that previously existed.
UX archecture
I needed to understand the experience and how it was before. So I went through each feature and created a flowchart off of what I saw. There were many of empty holes on the experience, and plenty of places where pieces were completely disconnected. This process really helps us understand what we could improve on.
In conclusion, we updated the experience and strategized v2 during that process. This was going to require us to collect data more efficiently so we can make decisions based on a more concrete idea.
